§ 11. Franchise charge.

The franchise fee shall be sixty-five cents per square foot of public area occupied by the skywalk bridge. Such amount shall be paid annually. The occupied area shall be that area of the skywalk bridge that extends over and across public right-of-way, i.e., from the property line on the east to the property line on the west, plus such part of any public alleys so occupied. Such payment shall be due and payable on the first day of January each year this franchise agreement is in effect.
