§ 5.37.070. Notice—Service

  • The notice to remove graffiti shall be served upon the person whose name appears as the owner of the premises involved in the files of the real estate records division of the county clerk's office. Such service may be made either by personal delivery or by depositing the notice in the United States mail, postage prepaid, as certified, first class mail, return receipt requested, addressed to the owner at the most recent address appearing in the files of the real estate records division of the county clerk's office. If no address for the owner appears in the files of the real estate division of the county clerk's office or if no address appears upon the actual premises, then service of the notice to remove graffiti may be made by posting the notice in a conspicuous place upon the property. Proof of service of the notice shall be made by affidavit of the person effecting the service, and the affidavit shall be sufficient for all purposes.
