§ 11.20.090. Fire lane designation.

The city manager shall have the authority, upon the joint recommendation of the fire chief and the city traffic engineer, to designate fire lanes along which fire trucks and equipment shall proceed in making fire calls; provided, however, that in emergencies and as necessity requires, runs of fire equipment may be made on other than fire lane streets and alleys, in the discretion of the officer in charge of such equipment.
