§ 11.22.020. Exceptions to Section 11.22.010.

  • The provisions of Section 11.22.010 shall not apply to permanent buildings, public utility poles, hedges trimmed to a height of less than thirty-three inches above gutter grade, trees, the trunks of which are at all times kept trimmed of limbs and sucker growth to a height of at least six feet above the gutter grade or the limbs of which overhang the public street are at all times kept trimmed of branches to a height of at least thirteen feet six inches above the street level, or plant species, not planted in the form of hedge, which are so planted and trimmed as to leave at all times a clear and unobstructed crossview; ornamental fence not exceeding four feet in height, provided the ratio of the solid portion of the fence to the open shall not exceed one to four; supporting members appurtenant to permanent building existing on September 1, 1974; official warning signs or signals; places where the contour of the ground is such that there can be no cross-visibility at the intersection; or to signs mounted ten feet or more above the gutter grade whose supports do not constitute an obstruction.
