§ 11.28.010. "U" turns prohibited—Where.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to turn the vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite direction unless such movement can be made in safety and without interfering with other traffic.

    (b)

    No vehicle shall be turned so as to proceed in the opposite direction:

    (1)

    Upon any curve, or upon the approach to, or near the crest of a grade, where the vehicle cannot be seen by the driver of any other vehicle approaching from either direction within five hundred feet;

    (2)

    At any other location when official traffic control devices giving notice of such prohibition are erected upon or at the entrances to the highway or part thereof affected as may be most appropriate.
