§ 11.42.035. Violating driver's license restrictions.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful for any person within the city to operate a motor vehicle in violation of the restrictions on such person's driver's license.

    (b)

    Upon a first conviction a fine of not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) shall be imposed. The court shall suspend such person's privileges to operate a motor vehicle for a period of not less than 30 days and not more than two years.

    Upon a second or subsequent conviction, a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) shall be imposed. The court shall suspend such person's privilege to operate a motor vehicle for not less than ninety (90) days and not more than two years.

    (c)

    For the purposes of determining whether a conviction is a first, second, third, or subsequent conviction, a conviction includes a conviction of a violation of any ordinance of any city or a law of this or any other state, or resolution of any county which is in substantial conformity with the provisions of this section.
