§ 11.68.160. Same—Unlawful acts; use of parking spaces, unauthorized covering of parking meters, possession of hoods.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful for any person other than a person having a valid permit issued under authority of the foregoing provisions of this chapter, his authorized agents, employees or servants to park or stand any vehicle in the street parking space adjacent to any parking meter covered or hooded in compliance with the aforesaid provisions of this chapter.

    (b)

    It shall be further unlawful for any unauthorized person to cover or hood any parking meter, or to remove, tamper with, damage or destroy any official parking meter cover or hood of the city, or for any person to have in his possession any cover, hood or other device designed for the purpose of masking, covering or hooding of any parking meter contrary to the provisions of the foregoing sections of this chapter.

    (c)

    Any person violating the provisions of subsections (a) and (b) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than twenty-five dollars for each violation.
