§ 11.88.010. Vehicles not to be driven on public grounds.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful for any person to drive or park any vehicle upon any portion of the public parks, municipal airports or other public grounds of the city other than upon the street, roads, drives and boulevards designated for that purpose; provided, that vehicles may be parked in such places as are designated for that purpose by the city council, the board of park commissioners or other city agencies responsible for the regulation and supervision of said public grounds.

    (b)

    It is unlawful for any person to ride or propel a bicycle upon any portion of the public parks, municipal airports or other public grounds of the city other than upon the streets, roads, drives, boulevards or paths designated for that purpose, or in such areas as are designated for bicycling use by the city commission, the board of park commissioners or any other city agencies responsible for the regulation and supervision of said public grounds.

    (c)

    It is unlawful for any person to leave or park a bicycle in any portion of the public parks, municipal airports or other public grounds of the city other than in a bicycle parking rack when such is provided and there is space available.

    (d)

    Nothing herein contained shall prevent any employee of the city, the board of park commissioners or the employees of any other city agency responsible for the regulation and supervision of said public grounds from performing their official duties, or any other person or business entity from performing work on the public grounds for and on behalf of such city, board or agency.
