§ 11.88.050. Mounted riders.

  • It is unlawful for any person to ride any horse or other animal upon any boulevard, road or drive in any park, the municipal airports or public ground in the city at a gait faster than eight miles per hour; provided, that at all places where special trails or bridle paths have been prepared especially for mounted riders, such trails and paths shall be used and the roads and drives intended for motor and other vehicles shall not be used by such mounted riders. Mounted riders shall be prohibited from riding any horse or other animal upon grassed areas of any public park, municipal airport or public property. This section shall not apply to members of the Wichita police department during the performance of their lawful duties.
