§ 2.08.140. Department of public works.

The department of public works shall consist of a director of public works and such staff as may be necessary to carry on the work of the department. The department of public works shall be responsible for design and preparation of plans for public works projects of the city and for the supervision of the construction of such projects; for the direction and coordination of maintenance for city streets, alleys, and bridges including snow removal; public buildings and ground maintenance; shall be responsible for the central motor pool and for all vehicle and equipment maintenance; shall be responsible for all traffic control regulation and design in the city.
