§ 2.12.630. Same—Continuation, powers and authority.

  • (a)

    The Wichita public building commission (the "commission") previously created by ordinances of the city, is continued in existence.

    (b)

    The commission shall have all the powers and authority granted to public building commissions under the Public Building Commission Act (K.S.A. 12-1757 et seq.) (the "Act"), as amended, chartered by charter ordinances of the City of Wichita, Kansas sometimes hereafter referred to as the "city" and as from time to time hereafter amended and chartered from, subject to substitute and additional provisions set forth in Charter Ordinances Nos. 107, 149, 162, amendments thereto, and subject to substitute and additional provisions of charter ordinances that may be from time to time hereafter passed and adopted by the city ("City Charter ordinances").

    (c)

    The commission shall adopt a seal.

    (d)

    The city manager of the city shall designate and provide any and all support services to be used by the commission to include staff support and legal representation by the city law department; and, in addition, the city's bond counsel shall be bond counsel for the commission.

    (e)

    Upon dissolution of the commission, title to all property owned by the commission shall vest in and become the property of the city.
