§ 2.12.955. Emergency procedures.

In accordance with Charter Ordinance No. 44, the following emergency procedures are exempt from the requirements set forth in Section 2.12.950:

(a)

Emergencies. Sanitary sewer stoppages or breaks; water line breaks; street repairs resulting from such stoppages and breaks; and major equipment repairs where parts are available from only the original manufacturer or from a local franchised dealer, and

(b)

Public Exigency. Where in those circumstances after advertising for bids and no bids are received, and the needs of the city are exigent to continue current level services, the purchasing manager is authorized to negotiate for purchases in excess of the amount established by law as the maximum amount.
