§ 3.01.050. Franchise rights not waived.

Nothing in Sections 3.01.010—3.01.070 shall be construed to preclude the city from requiring a franchise from any person, firm, partnership, corporation or entity who uses the streets and right-of-way of the city for the purpose of constructing and operating a telecommunications system. Any tax payment received by the city under Sections 3.01.010—3.01.070 shall not be deemed to waive or diminish the city's rights under K.S.A. 12-2001, et seq.
