§ 3.04.030. Applications, fee.

  • All new applicants for a city occupational license must make application to the license collector upon a form provided by the city before such license may be issued. The application fee shall be one dollar which shall not be refundable.

    There shall be no refunds of any license fees under the code of the City of Wichita unless the application fee has not been approved by the licensing authority, and a request for a refund be made to the city treasurer within three days from such disapproval. There shall be no refund or rebate of any portion of a license fee after the issuance thereof; provided, however, that in the event of the death of a licensee occurring within ninety days of issuance of a license, then for any license for which the fee is ten dollars or more, a refund pro-rated for the unused portion of said license shall be allowed; provided further, that application for said refund is made within the calendar year that the license is to be in effect, and is made by a legal representative of the deceased.
