§ 3.04.075. Suspension.

    SUSPENSION. When, in the opinion of the chief of police, the operation of any private club, tavern, dance hall, poolhall, teenage poolhall or any place of business that allows either the selling or consumption of malt beverage, has become detrimental to the public safety, peace, health or welfare, the chief of police may summarily suspend any or all city licenses of the business for a temporary period.

    B.

    APPEAL. Any person may appeal to the city council the decision of the chief of police to temporarily suspend a public license or licenses. The appeal must be in writing to the city council and must be presented within ten days from the date of the suspension.

    C.

    REVOCATION. It is vested in the city council the right to permanently revoke any or all city licenses of the business when after having a hearing requested by the chief of police, it is deemed detrimental to the public safety, peace, health or welfare; and the action of the city council shall be final.
