§ 3.11.205. Use of all terrain vehicles and golf carts.

  • Subject to the operational requirements set forth below, the operation of all-terrain vehicles is authorized by licensees, agents, servants, volunteers or employees of licensees on city streets, roadways and bike paths when utilized in conjunction with a community event.

    1.

    When operated on a street or highway which is not closed to vehicular traffic, all vehicles must obey all traffic rules and regulations; and

    2.

    No all-terrain vehicle shall be operated on any public highway, street or road between sunset and sunrise unless equipped with lights as required by law for motorcycles.

    For the purposes of this section, all-terrain vehicle is defined as any motorized nonhighway vehicle traveling on three or more tires. Such term shall also include vehicles commonly referred to as golf carts, ATVs or "gators".
