§ 3.52.080. Notice of denial and appeal.

  • (a)

    The applicant for a transfer station license shall be notified of a denial of the application by certified letter not later than ten days after taking such action.

    (b)

    An applicant for a transfer station license may appeal the denial of such license to the city council. Should an applicant seek an appeal after the denial of a license, the applicant shall furnish notice of such request for appeal to the city clerk not later than ten days after the date of the registered letter advising the applicant of the denial of the license.

    (c)

    Upon receipt of a request for appeal, the city clerk shall thereupon fix the date and time at which the city council shall hear the appeal. Based upon the record before the director of public works and the statement of the applicant, the city council will either grant or deny the license.
