§ 3.88.220. Same—Expiration date; fees; renewal.

  • All drivers' licenses shall expire on the thirty-first day of December of each year. For the original application and issuance of the license, a fee of five dollars shall be charged the applicant and paid by him to the license collector. Upon the expiration of the license, the driver shall be required to obtain a new license upon the payment of a renewal fee of one dollar; provided, that in case the driver shall apply for a renewal license on or before December twentieth of each year, no new application shall be required; provided further, however, that before any renewal license is issued, the applicant must secure the approval of the chief of police upon the requirements provided for in Sections 3.88.180 to 3.88.210, and new photographs shall be furnished if in the opinion of the chief of police they are necessary for proper identification. No refund shall be made for any reason whatsoever and no license shall be prorated.
