§ 5.69.010. Violation of protective orders.

  • (a)

    Violation of a protective order is knowingly or intentionally violating:

    (1)

    A protection from abuse order issued pursuant to K.S.A. 60-3105, 60-3106 and 60-3107, and amendments thereto;

    (2)

    An order issued by the city municipal court as a condition of pretrial release, diversion, probation, suspended sentence or post-release supervision, a condition of bond pending disposition of an appeal to district court, or at any other time during the criminal case that orders the person to refrain from having any direct or indirect contact with another person; or

    (b)

    Any person who commits the crime of violation of a protective order shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than two thousand five hundred dollars or imprisonment which shall not exceed one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
