§ 9.27.210. Power boats—Written permission required.

The use, operation, launching and docking of any power boat, including personal watercraft,
upon the Little Arkansas River from the concrete dam near Central Avenue to the city
limits of the city, is strictly prohibited, unless permission for such operation is
obtained in writing from the city. Written permission will be granted in the form
of a special permit, and all water craft receiving such permits shall meet the requirements
set forth by the department of park and recreation. Requests for special permits must
be submitted in writing to the department of park and recreation at least thirty days
prior to the date of the requested operation. The use of any power boat for the purpose
of aquaplaning and/or water skiing upon the Little Arkansas River is strictly prohibited,
unless permission for such operation is obtained in writing from the city as part
of, and expressly granted within, a special permit.
