§ 9.29.320. Power boating permit—Fee, presenting upon request.

Latest version.
  • Prior to the use, operation, launching or docking of any power boat or personal watercraft in or upon the Big Arkansas River and Bank Area, the power boat operator shall obtain written permission from the city, which shall be in the form of a daily permit.

A currently valid permit allows for operation of the designated power boat during the hours and days specified within the permit. Each and every power boat designated for operation requires a separate and individual permit, with the exception of a specialized multiple permit which may be obtained only by authorized boat dealers. An administrative fee will be charged for each and every permit issued. Permits are not transferable. A current and valid permit must remain on board the designated power boat during time of operation upon the said river, and must be shown to any law enforcement officer or any duly authorized representative of the department of park and recreation upon their request.
