§ 18.40.260. Violation—Penalty.

  • Any person who wilfully and knowingly violates any provision of this chapter, or any provision of any rule or regulation adopted by the superintendent of central inspection pursuant to authority granted by this chapter, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the city jail, for a period of not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that any violation of this chapter continues shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable hereunder as a separate violation.
