§ 18.40.420. Roof requirements.

Every roof shall be substantially weathertight, watertight and rodentproof and shall be kept in sound condition and good repair; provided that roofs of all structures with one or more ends or sides totally or partially open shall not be required to provide rodentproof protection for the partially enclosed area.

A roof shall be considered to be in sound condition and good repair if found to be capable of bearing all live, dead, and imposed loads.
