§ 29.04.190. Section 504.5 amended.

Section 504.5 of the Guidelines for Solar Energy Installations, 1984 Edition, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Collection and Disposal of Leakage. For solar systems with storage tanks located in attics or other locations where leakage might result in damage to the structure, a drip pan shall be installed under the storage tank. The discharge from the drip pan shall be directed to a point where it will not inflict property damage or physical harm to building occupants but where it will attract attention to the leakage. The drain for the drip pan shall be piped with ½ inch or larger diameter pipe and shall terminate not less than 6, or more than 24, inches above the ground. The pipe shall not terminate with a threaded end or a trap. All such storage tanks shall be installed and supported to conform to the structural loading requirements of Appendix A."
