§ 2.24.070. Deferral of payment of special assessments.

Whenever the governing body causes the creation of an improvement district for the purpose of assessing to property in that improvement district all or a portion of the costs associated with the construction of any public improvement, it may authorize and provide for indefinite deferral of the payment of such assessments for owner-occupied residential property for whom such payment would be a hardship. Such deferral shall be based on eligibility criteria and subject to the conditions set out in Section 2.24.075 of this Code.
