§ 2.28.040. Participation in Plan No. 3.

Each employee of the city hired on or after January 1, 1994 shall participate in Plan No. 3 until the employee completes seven years of service. In determining when an employee completes seven years of service for purposes of vesting, the employee may include prior city service purchased under the provisions of Section 2.28.045(b) or 2.28.250(g). Upon completion of seven years of vested service, the employee then must make an election as provided for in Section 2.28.060.
