§ 3.04.060. Proration of fees generally.

  • Every person beginning business in the first thirty days of the license term shall pay the full amount of the license. Every person beginning business after the first thirty days of the term shall have expired shall be required to take out a license under this title by paying pro rata for the remainder of the license term of the amount required for license; provided, that when a license fee is specified by the day, week or month, the above provisions for prorating shall not apply; provided further, that where license fees are provided by special provisions of this Code regulating any trade, calling or occupation, the pro rata provisions for license fees in each such provision shall govern; provided further, that no license fees of less than five dollars for six months, or ten dollars annually, provided for in this title, shall be prorated.
