§ 3.36.040. Household goods license—Required; prerequisites to issuance.

  • It is unlawful for any person to conduct or carry on, any auction or auction sale wherein furniture, household goods or other personal property, except as provided in Sections 3.36.110 to 3.36.220, are sold or offered for sale at public auction, at any place other than a regularly licensed auction house, as provided for under Section 3.36.010, without the owner of such furniture, household goods or pianos having filed with the license collector an inventory in duplicate of such goods to be sold, as herein provided; securing a license from the license collector for the purpose of carrying on such auction or auction sale; and complying with all the provisions of this chapter.
