§ 3.84.470. Package delivery and emergency vehicle starting services, rates of fare.

  • In addition to the preceding requirements, taxicabs and drivers providing package delivery and/or emergency vehicle starting services shall adhere to the following requirements for rates of fare:

    1.

    For service in picking up and delivering packages or parcels, the ordinary rates provided by Section 3.84.440 or 3.84.450 shall be charged. For taxicab companies providing both exclusive and shared services in the same vehicles, potential customers shall be informed of the options;

    2.

    For exclusive ride vehicles, waiting time shall be calculated as provided for in Section 3.84.440. For the delivery of multiple packages to different locations, waiting time may be charged for each stop;

    3.

    For shared ride vehicles, a flat rate surcharge may be added for each stop made to deliver a package;

    4.

    For emergency vehicle starting services a flat rate charge shall be employed as is provided by Section 3.84.430.
