§ 9.27.020. Federal and state boating regulations.

All federal and state regulations pertaining to boats, boat equipment, boating activities, safety and safety equipment or any other water craft or water craft equipment shall be in place and effective for all water craft activities and water craft operating in and upon the Little Arkansas River, from the concrete dam near Central Avenue to the city limits. All other federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to boats, boat equipment, boating activities, safety and safety equipment or any other water craft or water craft equipment are incorporated herein and made a part hereof by reference. In the event federal and state laws and regulations are silent upon a matter addressed by this chapter, then the rules, regulations and restrictions herein shall control. In the event a federal or state law or regulation is enacted or implemented which speaks to an issue not addressed by this chapter, or which supersedes any of the provisions herein, then the federal or state law or regulation shall control.
