§ 2.12.050. Same—Exceptions to policies, procedures and standards of conduct.

The city council of the city recognizes that situations may arise which require clarification of the foregoing policies and procedures established by these rules and regulations, and that the public interest may require that exceptions be made therefrom in specific cases. In any such case, the city council may take formal action to make such clarification and/or exception; provided, that the clarification or exception be publicly disclosed together with the reasons therefor; and provided further, that these rules and regulations shall not apply when in conflict with the statutes of the state and appropriate exceptions shall be made by the city council.
