§ 2.12.070. Wichita Art Museum—Authority to contract.

  • (a)

    The City of Wichita may enter into a contract with a not-for-profit Kansas corporation to provide for the general supervision and care of the Wichita art museum and the objects of art belonging to the city or exhibited therein. Such contract may provide that the corporation shall serve as the agent and representative of the city to provide housing, to care for, exhibit and maintain art, including paintings and other objects of art owned by the city; to acquire by purchase, gift, bequest, or exchange, paintings, prints, statues, and other objects of art; as well as to maintain the Roland P. Murdock collection.
